A new technique for stable capsular bag fixation of toric and plate haptic lenses

Synopsis: Decentration, rotation, luxation and severe capsular shrinkage are reported disadvantages of plate haptic lenses. To solve this problem a new implantation technique is necessary: a capsular tension ring becomes iinjected through one hole of the plate haptic.Videoanimation, in vitro and in vivo scenes to illustrate this new procedure. This new concept of fixation of an IOL is also very useful to stabilize the only toric plate haptic IOL from Staar.
