Unusual cases of progressive visual loss

Tallinn Central Hospital Eye Clinic.

Introduction: Slowly progressiv visual loss, especially in both eyes, is sometimes difficult to diagnose and to treat. They need lots of inquiries in process of making different diagnose, some of them are very expensiv (for example MRI). And there is allways a question- treat or not to treat and how.
Patients and methods: Case1: 21 years old man, history of central visual loss in both eyes in an half year time. Results of all other inquieris are normal. Case2: 50 years old man, visual loss in left eye, untypical visusal field finding.Vision in the right eye 20/20. Other inquieris are normal.
Conclusion: Does the symptomatical treatment helped to maintain the vision?
