Doubling of the papilla in the better eye

Purpose: Case report about a eye with doubling of the papilla
and severe amblyopia of the other eye.
Methods: Examination included: best corrected visual acuity, colour
disturbances, visual field, sonography. Photographic documentation.
Results: Best corrected visual acuity was 40/50 on the right and
1/25 on the left eye. Colour disturbances were detected for red / green
and perimetry demonstrated two blind spots. Ultra sound showed two optic
nerves.
Conclusion: Visual field defects and ultra sound revealed a doubling
of the papilla.
