| Vom Kongress Zentrum führt die Busfahrt zum
Standort des "Finkenherdes",wo Albrecht von Graefe glückliche
Jugendjahre verbrachte. Bei der Fahrt "Unter den Linden"
gedenken wir seiner Praxis. Nach Besichtigung der Ziegelstraßenklinik,
wo sein Vater ab 1818 das chirurgisch -ophthalmologische Institut
leitete, sehen wir in der Reinhardtstraße den Standort der Privatklinik
Albrecht von Graefes und besuchen das Grab. Die Fahrt endet im Medizin-
Historischen Museum der Charité, wo bei einer kleiner Stärkung
in der Hörsaalruine neben den interessanten Originalpräparaten
von Virchow noch einmal die Präsentation anläßlich
der AAD "Die beiden Graefes" zu sehen ist. Endstation ist
wieder das Kongresszentrum. Bei der Fahrt werden wir auch viele Bauten
des modernen Berlins zu sehen bekommen. We will depart from the congress center and drive to the "Finkenherd", where Albrecht von Graefe spent his youthful years. As we go by "Unter den Linden", we will commemorate his work and achievements. After touring the former eye clinic in the Ziegelstraßn, where his father was in charge of the Surgical Institute of Ophthalmology in 1818,we will see Albrecht Graefe's private clinic and have the opportunity to visit his grave. The tour will end at the Medical-Historical Museum of the Charité where we will enjoy a mid-afternoon snack in the former lecture hall, which is now a "restored ruin" and an interesting location. The presentation of "The two Graefe's", first presented on the occasion of the AAD, is being shown, as well as the historical instruments of Rudolf Virchow. Along our way there are numerous sights of modern Berlin for you to enjoy. |
