| Immunologie des Auges - eine Standortbestimmung Der rasche Wissenszuwachs im Bereich der Immunologie ist für den Augenarzt in Klinik und Praxis bedeutsam geworden und hat unsere diagnostischen und therapeutischen Möglichkeiten ständig erweitert. Ziel dieses Symposiums ist es eine aktuelle Standortbestimmung zu den klinisch wichtigen Themenbereichen Keratoplastik und Okuläre Allergie vorzunehmen. Beide Schwerpunkte werden in Übersichtreferaten im interdisziplinären Dialog von anerkannten Experten behandelt. Über ein besseres Verständnis der zugrundliegenden Mechanismen wird den Teilnehmer der Zugang zu neuen Therapiemöglichkeiten und künftigen Entwicklungen ermöglicht. |

| Ocular immunology - an update Immune mechanisms in ophthalmic diseases have gained wide attention and will continue to expand. A basic understanding of immunologic principles has become essential for clinicans and practicing ophthalmologists. The goal of this symposium is to provide an update in two selected fields in ocular immunology: corneal transplantation and ocular allergy. Both topics will be cov-ered by experts in an interdisciplinary approach. It is intended that participants of this sympo-sium will gain an understanding on the main mechanisms in ocular immunology as well as up-dated therapeutic options and future developments. |
