Purpose: In this video implantation of the hydrophilic acrylic foldable lens Rayner Centerflexâ is demonstrated. In addition a method to evaluate rotation and centration of a posterior chamber lens in its capsular bag is shown with this IOL.
Methods: Implantation of the IOL is shown from the view of the surgeon and from the Apple-Miyake view. Stability of rotation and measurement of decentration are performed by using digitalised retroillumination photographs. They were analysed by an image analysis program (Adobe Photoshop™).
Results and Conclusions: The hydrophilic acrylic foldable lens Rayner Centerflexâ is easy to implant both by forceps and by injector. Measurement of stability of rotation and decentration is easy and objectiv with the method shown here.
