Wound Closure with Fibrin Glue in Cataract Surgery

Many cataract surgeons prefer a limbal incision with a conjunctival flap due to its superior stability. Using fibrin glue a very secure wound closure is achieved. The method of fibrin sealing is illustrated by animations. The application is demonstrated in some clinical cases. The use of a new sterile envelope improves the handling and allows to utilize one package of glue for about 15 patients, under sterile conditions.
