New Developments in Reconstructive Eyelid Surgery

In aesthetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery over the last several years improvements in surgical technique through the use of minimal invasive lasers (CO2 and Erbium laser) as well as the use of new materials for wound coverage, suture materials and tissue replacement have take place. Potential further perspectives may result from biotechnological improvements in tissue engineering. In the review several techniques of those new aspects will be discussed.
