This video demonstrates a new camera perspective to analyze surgical procedures in the anterior segment of the eye. Besides the traditional surgeons view through the operating microscope a side view helps evaluating the position of surgical instruments during phacoemulsification. This new technique also helps analyzing the behavior of lens fragments and ophthalmic viscoelastic devices in the anterior chamber of the eye and is a helpful tool for teaching of beginning surgeons.
