Purpose: The mean height of the contour line in the temporal horizontal sector between -4 to -10 degrees determines the standard reference plane of an individual optic disc using the Heidelberg Retina Tomograph. This definition is deemed as independent of the stage of glaucomatous optic nerve damage. In this study we investigate the relation of the retinal nerve fiber layer thickness depending to the stage of glaucomatous damage using optical coherence tomography (OCT I) and confocal laser scanning tomography (HRT II). |
