Evaluation of usefulness of examination of retinal thickness by RTA equipment in diagnostic process and monitoring of glaucoma

Purpose: In some cases clinical diagnostic procedures are not enough in differential diagnosis of glaucoma. We think that RTA of nerve fibres and posterior pole areas gives new possibilities in diagnosis in glaucoma patients.The aim of the study was: 1.evaluation of usefulness of retinal thikness using RTA TALIA Technology Ltd. 2. correlation with morphological and functional state of the eye with ocular hypertension and with suspected glaucoma.
Method: Patients were divided into 2 groups. First one aged 10 - 30 , second one 30 - 55. (excluding patients with refractive error more than ±4 dpt., and with eye and systemic disorders which can cause changes in thickness of the retina).Controlled groups were formed of 20 heathly people.In all patients full clinical examination and retinal thickness examination were performed (with follow up examination every 3 months or ev
