Purpose: Choroid gaging with the method of ultrasound-HF-analysis. Method: The HF-Ultrasound-Microbiometer is to be used like a common ultrasound A-Mode device easily attached at eye lid. The complete information included in the original un-demodulated ultrasound-signal is used. With a special desgned probe the ultrasound signals are measured as usual. Then the method of ultrasound-HF-analysis starts: the signals are digitized over the total penetration length of the sound beam within period of about 15 seconds. Then the TEA accomplishes several mathematicaly based operations with the digitized signals. All received signal lines are presented in a M - Mode - Window, called "the signal-cinema". Results: Already in the M-Mode-representation of the signal the examiner obtains already a valid impression of the fine histologic structure of the examined tissues. With a vertical gate valve the different single A-Mode-signal lines can be selected. By the means of automated structure recognition operations the examiner gets the thickness values of the interesting histological layers, i.e. the retina and choroid. Conclusions: With the method of ultrasound-HF-analysis is a wide field for new clinicals studies in glaucoma treatment, pharmacologicall effects, inflammations and follow up of age related alterat
