Multi-scan versus Flying-spot Excimer Laser for Myopic LASIK: a Retrospective Comparative Study

Purpose: to compare the most important refractive parameters such as predictability, safety, efficacy and stability 3 and 12 months after myopic laser in-situ keratomileusis using a modified wide-beam scanning and a flying-spot excimer laser.
Method: the group A confined 41 eyes treated with “the Multi-Scan Keratom IV“ exci­mer laser (Schwind/Kleinostheim). The group B confined 50 first treated eyes ablated by a flying spot MEL 70 G-Scan excimer laser (Zeiss-Meditec/Jena).
